On the Banning of the movie Da Vinci Code by the Catholic Church

I firmly believe that this country is not going to move forward
if it continues to be catholic.
my apologies for those conservatives
but i think i have good enough reason to arrive at this conclusion.

if we go back to our history our country was continuously and vehemently raped and pillaged by the catholic church
they burned our ancient books and kiled our old babaylans and anitos.
they desecrated our lands and called them their own.
they placed titles and made our cities protectorate of Spain and the Church after killing thousands upon thousands of filipino natives.

they plotted tribes against tribes the ilocanos vs. the bisayas by virtue of faith and even coined the term moros that up to now our Muslim brothers are continuously prejudiced.
to think that slam even came first to our shores.
we were trading well and good not until the Spanish friars took our resources and called them their own.

our sense of history was deliberately destroyed by their schools as they looked down our heritage and called it uncivilized
called our herbal medicines and albularyos barbaric and relegated our women who once held high positions of power in barangays to mere housewives and more than often made them illiterate and rapes them.

the katipunan was founded under the auspices of masonry
and it was the only organized organiztion with a good background of anti-clericism after which their forefathers were
tortured and murdered by the bloodthirsty Roman Catholic Church.
our katipuneros found an organizaton they can associate with.

and thus the revolt of the masses came into existence

after the death of Rizal the church fathers banned his books Noli & El Fili
only with the help of the well known mason Claro M. Recto were we able to have the opportunity to read them in High School and in college or else it will just be relegated to the dustbins of history but with of course the help of the Catholic Church.

the catholic church then and again
had continuously curtailed our intellectual ferment as a nation
it even failed its job of being a moral watchdog of the country
just look where we place in the worlds most corrupt countries…

and now with the release of the Da Vinci Code and its movie it now relegates us back to antiquity.
dont you think its high time that we realize these truths?

dont get me wrong i am never against the christian faith
i just believe that we do a great disservice to it if we dont use our common sense and our brains to determine whats working for us and against us.

because in my opinion a churchs job is bring anybody close to the divine
but if it does otherwise then it might not really be effective.

go read our history
you’ll know what im arriving at.

because history never lies
it can only be re-written but its effects can always be felt in the present.
